Also known as “Tunk”, “Texas Tunk” or “Knot” it is a kind of knock rummy card game that has now become wildly popular in the US. It was popular with blues and jazz musicians in southern Louisiana in the 1930’s and 1940’s, including Duke Ellington's orchestra, and was played during breaks in the back rooms of bars.
Tonk League has all the rules of the original card game and while is it played with 5 cards it is somewhat similar to Gin Rummy.

My friend turned me on to this game and I'm totally hooked. It's easy to learn, fast paced, plus lots of fun. He calls me, we put our phones on speaker, and play the game while we chat. I turn off the sound effects when we play and chat though. They can be kinda loud and distracting. Also, perhaps, there could be a way to block people. Some of the same regular players come on regularly and play a hand or two then leave everyone hanging on the timer for three or four hands.

Very addicting and competitive... I wish you could play offline as well as online... Also game would be better if you could talk to your opponents, or some of the sayings should say "It's your turn", "Play faster please", etc... Just some suggestions... But you guys should make it where we can play offline... Thanks

I really have loved this game, until the controls started messing up. If you get a card that will play off of a book that's been played, it place the card where is should go. You run out of time and the game automatically discards the last card you drew. That is really screwed up. Also, you can't play the Ace of off a King, it still only play as a low card.

Hello Terry, Sorry! If your turn time runs out we have to automatically select a card to discard unfortunately. The Ace is always a low card, and can't be used with the king - this is well documented in the rules of the game.
